Our Commitment to Field Sustainability & Privacy

At Elevated PD (EPD), we believe that data privacy is an extension of field sustainability. We collect only what is necessary to support your professional growth and the sustainability of this community. Unlike many platforms, our primary goal is to empower the Adult Education field, not to monetize your personal information.

Field sustainability is a shared responsibility; to ensure Elevated PD remain available for the entire community, we rely on every member to protect this original work of EECG and ensure it is never misused or misappropriated.

I. Intellectual Property & Content Ownership

All materials provided on the EPD platform—including but not limited to course modules, video content, downloadable toolkits, graphics, and proprietary methodologies—are the sole intellectual property of the Elevation Educational Consulting Group (EECG).

  • Limited License: Users are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use these materials for their own professional development or within their specific organization as permitted by their subscription tier.
  • Prohibitions:  You may not record, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from EPD content without express written permission from EECG. Unauthorized sharing of login credentials or "ripping" of video content is a violation of this agreement and may result in immediate account termination. Elevated PD does not support a train the trainer model, professionals should be provided their own seat for individual learning. Group learning is encouraged when it does not go against these prohibitions. Elevated PD can support group or team learning, please contact us if you are not sure of how to conduct this in light of this prohibition.

To maintain the integrity of our work, EECG actively monitors for IP and privacy breaches. As a small business, our work is our primary resource; its misuse causes significant and irreparable harm to our ability to function and support the adult education workforce. Any unauthorized use of EPD content may result in:

  1. Immediate and permanent suspension of the individual or organization's account without refund;
  2. Forfeiture of all professional development credits and badges earned;
  3. Legal action to recover damages for the misappropriation of our work. EECG reserves all rights not expressly granted and will pursue every available legal avenue to protect our business and the community it serves.

II. Data Collection & Sharing

We track engagement metrics such as professional development hours, course completion, and skill mastery. This data is critical to the ecosystem of Adult Education and is handled as follows:

  • Anonymized Impact Reporting: EECG reserves the right to use and provide anonymized, aggregated data (e.g., "70% of educators in this region improved digital literacy skills") to third-party funders, advocacy organizations, and research partners. This data is used to secure future subsidies and demonstrate the field's impact. Anonymized data also supports critical research and advocacy efforts. By documenting the professional growth of our community, we can provide funders and policymakers with the scholarly evidence needed to champion the unique value of the Adult Education workforce.
  • Unredacted Sharing: If your access to EPD is paid for or subsidized by a State agency, a specific program, or an employer, EPD will provide that entity with unredacted data regarding your specific progress, hours, and completions for the purpose of professional accountability, credentialing, and return-on-investment reporting; this excludes sponsoring organizations.
  • Data for Good: We will not sell your data to advertisers or third-party data brokers.

III. No Guarantees & "No-Fault" Clauses

  • As-Is Basis: EPD services and content are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. While we strive for high-quality, research-backed content, EECG makes no guarantees regarding specific career outcomes, salary increases, or certification acceptance by external boards.
  • No Fault: EECG is not liable for any technical interruptions, data loss due to third-party hosting, or any indirect damages resulting from the use of the platform.
  • User Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. EECG is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access to your account due to your failure to secure your credentials.

IV. The Collective (Live Quarterly Sessions)

"The Collective" represents our commitment to shared success. Because these sessions involve live interaction, specific privacy and stewardship rules apply:

  • Recording Transparency: The main instructional portion of The Collective sessions may be recorded for the EPD library. However, breakout rooms are considered semi-private, transcribed or summarized spaces to facilitate open and honest dialogue while capturing sharable insights.
  • Professional Confidentiality (Chatham House Rule): To foster a brave space, participants are encouraged to use the information received during The Collective, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s) may be revealed outside the session.
  • Prohibition of Third-Party Recording: The use of AI note-takers, screen recorders, or third-party recording software by participants is strictly prohibited. This protects the intellectual property of the coaching and the privacy of peer discussions. Please do not invite your personal note-takers or any other software as they will be removed.
  • Social Media & Visual Consent: Participants must respect their peers by not sharing screenshots that include other people’s faces or names without explicit consent. EECG will only use grid-view images for advocacy, marketing, or research if participants are given the opportunity to opt-out (e.g., by turning cameras off).
  • Co-Created Insights: While individuals own their unique ideas, the collective insights and strategies generated during group exercises become part of the EPD knowledge base for the benefit of the entire community. This insight, where possible, will be shared with the participants of Elevated PD and the larger adult education field as applicable, including in posts, writings, courses, workshops, research and other public-facing manners that benefit adult education.

It's Worth Repeating: To maintain the integrity of our collective work, EECG actively monitors for IP and privacy breaches. As a small business, our work is our primary resource; its misuse causes significant and irreparable harm to our ability to function and support the adult education workforce. Any unauthorized use of EPD content may result in:

  1. Immediate and permanent suspension of the individual or organization's account without refund;
  2. Forfeiture of all professional development credits and badges earned;
  3. Legal action to recover damages for the misappropriation of our work. EECG reserves all rights not expressly granted and will pursue every available legal avenue to protect our business and the community it serves.
